Other Libraries

The Art Institute of Dallas students and faculty have borrowing privileges at four Dallas County Community College District campus libraries and are able to borrow materials from the Dallas Public Library either directly or through Interlibrary Loan. Links are provided for other area college library catalogs as well.

DCCCD Campuses

The Art Institute Library maintains a reciprocal borrowing agreement with four of the DCCCD colleges: Brookhaven, Eastfield, El Centro, and Richland. Students and faculty from these institutions and The Art Institute may check out up to three books at a time from each others' libraries and must adhere to the circulation policies of the lending library. This agreement does not apply to other DCCCD campuses or to materials other than books.

Dallas Public Library

Members of The Art Institute community that live within the city limits of Dallas may apply for a Dallas Public Library borrowing card. DPL borrowing privileges not only permit checkout of books and audiovisual materials but also allow remote access to EBSCO's periodical database. Individuals wanting to borrow DPL materials but who do not have DPL borrowing privileges should see one of The Art Institute librarians, who will obtain the materials through The Art Institute's corporate borrowers card.
